Jungle Jamboree Toothpaste: A Branding and Design Case Study for Kids’ Oral Care
Project Overview
As the branding and design partner for Jungle Jamboree, a new line of children’s toothpaste, our objective was to create a captivating and educational brand experience that encourages good oral hygiene habits from a young age. The project involved developing a fun, engaging brand identity that resonates with children and reassures parents about the safety and effectiveness of the products. Our team focused on three main flavors: Giraffe’s Tall Tale Mint, Hippo’s Happy Berry, and Deer’s Forest Fresh.
Design Strategy
Brand Identity
The Jungle Jamboree brand identity centers around adventure, discovery, and playful learning. Each toothpaste flavor is represented by a friendly jungle animal to foster a connection between the child and the product. The vibrant colors and lively illustrations are designed to attract attention on shelves and make the toothpaste a standout choice for both parents and kids.
Packaging Design
The packaging for each flavor incorporates bright, engaging visuals with clear, child-friendly fonts. The design emphasizes the toothpaste’s key features:
- Giraffe’s Tall Tale Mint Toothpaste: Features a gentle mint flavor and a fun giraffe character, highlighting its fluoride-free formula for safe swallowing. The packaging uses green and soft mint hues to convey freshness and safety.
- Hippo’s Happy Berry Toothpaste: Showcases a delicious berry flavor with a friendly hippo design, enriched with calcium for strong teeth. The packaging is adorned in vibrant purples and pinks, signaling fun and tastiness.
- Deer’s Forest Fresh Toothpaste: Offers a natural forest-inspired flavor with an adorable deer theme, free from artificial colors or preservatives. Earthy greens and browns on the packaging reflect the toothpaste’s natural essence.
Each tube also clearly displays the net weight (75 g), ensuring consistency across the range.
Educational and Interactive Elements
Beyond the packaging, our strategy included creating educational and interactive elements to engage kids further. This includes storytelling around each animal character’s adventures, promoting the idea that brushing teeth is not just a daily task but a fun and important part of a child’s routine.
